The MP4 container format with H.264/H.265 codecs doesn't support alpha channels (transparency). This is a technical limitation of the format itself, not our tool. For true transparency, export as WebM (VP9 codec) which supports alpha natively. Alternatively, export MP4 with a green/magenta matte and use chroma keying in your video editor.
For Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Final Cut Pro, WebM with alpha channel works great. Import the WebM file directly—all three NLEs support it. The transparent areas will automatically composite over your background layers. For ProRes workflows, our cloud processing offers ProRes 4444 with alpha.

Browser-based processing focuses on video only and doesn't preserve audio (a browser limitation). If you need audio in your final output, use cloud processing which extracts, preserves, and reattaches the original audio track. Alternatively, export from browser processing and manually sync the audio in your video editor.
